You Can’t Predict When Something Bad Might Happen at Your Home

I have been talking with lots of home owners recently about their home security. I am trying to gain some insight on the different ways that our homes can be threatened. One of the things I asked them was if they had ever experienced any suspicious activity at their house. A robbery, broken windows, a suspicious person – anything. I was surprised that almost everyone had a story to tell me. Many of the stories led them to buy a security system. I have learned that Home Security Kansas is the option many have decided on.

One man said that he was home for the afternoon, but left to go pick his little boy up from hockey practice. When they returned home approximately 20 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and several things were missing from inside. He suspected that he was being watched, and that the thief knew once he left the house. Another mother of 3 informed me that she opened the door to a man who said they were a salesman. After he finished speaking, he then asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She said no thank you, and the man replied by asking if he could at least come inside to use her telephone. Because the guy was being so persistent, she again declined and closed the door.

All of us have had our encounters with suspicious situations and people. Some experiences are worse than others, like the first man’s experience. The information I am getting helps me determine what moves people to install a alarm system. The woman said she quickly decided to get one the very next day.

I have learned about a lot of similar stories from other families. You never truly know what is going to happen on a specific day. I am convinced that these two people did not wake up that morning and think something out of the ordinary would happen later that day. It really highlights the value in always being prepared.
